Every year the Essence Festival brings together Black America to celebrate the culture. This year’s festival in New Orleans featured a celebration of music, business, political conversation, panel discussions and so much more. For the first time, Ghana Tourism Authority was featured as part of a panel discussion at the Black Economic Forum.

In 2019, during the Year of Return, the Essence Black Economic Forum took place in Ghana as part of the Full Circle Festival. It was fitting that this year CEO of Ghana Tourism Authority, Akwasi Agyeman was invited to speak on the panel. Connecting the global Black community to build wealth and build empires is an important part of building wealth in our communities both on the continent and in the diaspora.
