Ghana’s creative economy is one that has continued to grow and receive support from people around the world. Yesterday, Vice President Kamala Harris, Actor/Producer Idris Elba and Actress Sheryl Lee Ralph, paid a visit to the Freedom Skate Park and Vibrate Recording Studio in East Legon.
This was part of the vice president’s agenda to put a spotlight on the growing creative economy in the continent of Africa. It was also an opportunity to connect the creativity of Africans with that of the U.S., which often draws inspiration from Africa. The young creatives there were all very excited to meet them and knew this was also an opportunity for them to speak on what’s happening in Ghana’s creative communities. Music artist Black Sherif and Singer/Songwriter Moses Sumney were among the creatives there for the meeting.
