The sounds of a marching band filled the air at the first edition of Riverfest the Ada Calypso. Dressed in masquerade costumes that connected with Ghanaian and Caribbean culture, attendees and participants were feeling the beat of the music and in full celebration. It was a beautiful display of what it looks like to bring together the two cultures. Bright, elaborate, costumes adorned with jewels, feathers and bold designs highlighted the creativity of costume design.
Held from the 16th-18th December celebrations took place in Ada at Camp Tsatse Resort along the Volta River. It was a beautiful day that also featured performances throughout the day, a boat race, vendors and good food.
